The Darkling Air - ‘Little Forager’ Music Video

One of my favourite artists Imogen Donegan created this gorgeous human moth character with a beautifully handmade costume for a on of her final projects for her Art Degree. It later made sense that the same gorgeous little moth character could be “Little Forager” for The Darkling Air’s music video. I was over the moon when Imogen was up for the task and had allowed us to give this sweet little foraging moth another story.

This video took over a year to make as the weather and our busy schedules weren't in our favour. But we got there and I am so glad we did.

Stills

We began by photographing Imogen wearing the Moth costume in my kitchen, reacting to all sorts of imagined scenarios as the storyboard kept changing. Imogen, my sister Kat and myself then printed and cut out over a hundred mini foragers, I made a tiny boat for Little Forager from a recycled juice carton and Imogen made a life-sized cardboard guitar. It was filmed all around our home town of Bangor and on the coldest of days.
